Summer Youth Class Planning Form

Submissions MUST be made no later than Monday, February 15, to be included in our summer youth classes brochure which publishes late March/early April.

APS Camp/Class Set Up Process

All athletic camps hosted by APS coaches and staff will be promoted, registered, and paid for through APS Community Education.
 
Task Responsible Party Timeline
Complete Community Education Class Worksheet (see page 2 of this document)include any instructor pay, class expenses, and supply costs. Coach As needed
Review/edit/seek clarification on courses Community Education One week after submission
Class (camp) confirmation sent to instructor (coach) including pricing and what the instructor expects to be paid. Community Education One week after edits submitted
Contract generated and sent to instructor to be signed Community Education One week after confirmation
Contract signed and returned to Community Education. Must be returned prior to camp start date. Coach One week after contract sent
After class (camp) is complete, verify number of enrollees and send updated contract to instructor with full payment amount Community Education After class/camp completion
Instructor signs and returns Coach ASAP
Payment is processed via business office. Payment will be on the next regular payroll deposit. Community Education After signed contract is returned

Please note that Buildings and Grounds will not reserve space for your camp/class until they have confirmation from Community Education that the camp has been set up.

The registration of camps through Community Education ensures financial clarity, student health and safety, and liability coverage.

We would love to have you teach a Community Education class!

You can become an instructor and offer a class within the community and Austin Community Education will help make it happen by announcing the class to your target audience through targeted marketing and our Facebook page.

If you have ideas for future Austin area Community Education classes or know people who would be great instructors to teach a specific class, fill out a Community Education Class Planning form or contact Community Education via email or by phone at 507-460-1706.
