Alumni Spotlight: Caitlin Kaercher

What are you doing now?

I am a licensed Realtor® in Colorado pursuing a career in real estate full-time. My side hustle is professionally organizing homes part-time in and around the Colorado Springs area.

How did APS prepare you for this role?

APS helped prepare me for my career by teaching me the basic fundamentals to being a successful student. Continuous learning is the key to success. Playing high sports in Austin taught me valuable skills such as working as a team, self-discipline, and a strong work ethic. While at Austin High, I was provided the amazing opportunity to enroll in courses at Riverland Community College at no cost. Upon graduating, I received a scholarship through Wallin Education Partners, which my academic counselor encouraged me to apply for. I am so glad I listened to her because that scholarship helped put me through college. Shout out to Mrs. Keenan! I will be graduating from the U of M - Crookston this May with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Communications.

What is your advice for current Packers?

It is okay if you don't know exactly what you want to do after high school. Try new things and get out of your comfort zone. By continuing to challenge and improve yourself, you'll see yourself achieving things you never thought possible. Life is not linear; it is logical and organic. You are in charge of your future, nobody else. When you know what you want, work hard and persevere until it is yours.

Who at APS inspired you?

Mr. Pesch

What was your favorite meal in the cafeteria?

Grilled cheese and tomato soup.
